Wow!! Episode 6 hits The Rock hard…This month features some of the last footage shot of Japanese legends, Guitar Wolf, before the untimely demise of Jet Rock hero Bass Wolf. Few other bands set fire to the stage with the kind of pure punk fury as these masters, and anyone who has witnessed a live set of theirs will attest to this. This episode features footage shot in Seattle at Chop Suey, and this will stand as one of the all time great performances. The show included unabandonded beer guzzling ( I think Billy and Seiji polished off a case each of Bud, no kidding), almost two hours of the most caustic rock mayhem (yes, 3 encores!), puking/passing out/rocking some more but harder than before!! Too much, I’m tellin you, and if that isn’t enough some of this footage appeared on a Guitar Wolf tribute called Wolf Rising but only released in Japan. So there…

And that’s just the end of the show. Also, on this episode we get to finally catch up with some of our local favorites, The Ruby Doe. If your from these parts you probably know a little bit about this powerful, post hard-core trio composed of Aaron Ellh on guitar and vocals, Joshua Gabriel on drums and Jesse Sea on bass and vocals. With their newest album on Loveless Records, Always With Wings, the band continues to set deep hard rockin grooves to kick ass lyrics. We met up with the band for an interview in their practice space, and later that night at Chop Suey. Now show the boys you love ’em.

Also on the episode Erase Errata, The Catch, and our new favorite claymation “gorrorshow” Turk and Jim. If you ain’t seen or heard Erase Errata yet you must be sleepin’ under a rock, but I will tell you this, these girls make brilliant look effortless. These songs are important and fun and they rock with angst and urgency…More local girls made good, The Catch, bring the sass attack on their new-wave dosed “Afterparty”, and this video was directed by all aound good-guy Mike Kroesen ( yeah, a friend)! And speakin of friends, Jason Pace‘s soon to be legendary Turk and Jim kicks off this episode. You know, man eating turkeys, hard drugs, heavy rock..this series has it all!!
