We promised you the whole show, now here, have it! Gang Gang Dance, from their June 7, 2005 performance at The Chop Suey in Seattle, Washington. Watch the meltdown! This Brooklyn quartet melds a bold, improvisational approach, using mesmerizing loops and layers to slide around the wild calls and indecipherable incantations of vocalist Lizzi Bougatsos. All sorts of wild animal noises abound, broken machines beating death rhythms, and an overall pagan, New Tribe drumming mayhem. Members Brian Degraw and Tim Dewitt, played with now defunct math/punk outfit, The Cranium…Josh Diamond with Jackie-o-Motherfucker; and they bring with them a desire for further explorations into intricate experimentalism, coupled with risk taking improvisational instincts. Since releasing the very very limited cd-r, Revival of the Shittest, the band has created quite the sonic stir, and their shows are becoming legendary for melting the boundaries between band and fans. So get up off the floor, grab a drum, and make some noise!
