New Music: LAMC No. 5: Hunx/Cassie Ramone 7″

643

The next installment of the Less Artist More Condo 7″ series came out today, and it features Bay-area punk stud Hunx, as well as Cassie Ramone of the Vivian Girls. LAMC is put out by the Brooklyn-based label Famous Class to honor their late friend and label co-founder Ariel Panero, who under the LAMC moniker used to throw live shows highlighting offbeat bands in unusual locations. Proceeds from digital purchases go to the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1 Save the Music, and can be purchased from the label’s Bandcamp page. Side one’s “I Won’t Tell If You Don’t Tell” finds Hunx again making pop-punk magic from a few cords and a lot of personality, and while Cassie Ramone’s B-side “I Don’t Really Wanna Go” is served up a bit lite, there’s enough to like in the 90’s-era, college radio throwback.
