Psychic Ills “One More Time”

Psychic Ills‘ 2011 release Hazed Dream (Sacred Bones) was the band’s first document upon returning to earth after an extended stay at their space station high above the Indian Ocean. Seems like they missed earth a lot, and on their up-coming February 19th LP One Track Mind (Sacred Bones), we find the band traveling California’s desert backroads looking for that wormhole Crazy Horse created for traveling back-and-forth to 1969.

Moving at a “leisurely” pace in an old chevy with a brick of red hash, looks like they picked up the Royal Trux Neil Michael Hagerty somewhere in Death Valley, and he’s nodding in the back seat. I think they are on the right road here, and I sure do hope they find that wormhole back to ’69! Oh yeah, we should mention that the art work for One Track Mind was done by former 13th Floor Elevators songwriter and artist Powell St. John. In addition, for a limited time, the album will come with a 7″ of covers that includes The Godz’ “Radar Eyes,” and for some real obscurity, Cosmic Michaels’ “Cosmic Michael Theme.” Dig it, man!
