Deerhoof‘s new video for the track “We Do Parties” is directed by Michinori Saigo, and it finds the band unleashing their inner-teenagers into a neon carnival of Tokyo streets for skateboarding hi-jinks, karaoke glowstick sing-a-longs, and general video game fun. This is the perfect visual backdrop for “We Do Parties”, a spastic collision of day-glo ear candy complete with Satomi Matsuzaki’s non-sensical, nursery rhyme lyrics. You can find the track on the band’s 2012 LP Breakup Song (Polyvinyl Records), as well as the up-coming “We Do Parties” digital EP, which features a remix by the Silver Apples, and Deerhoof covering the Velvet Underground classic, “All Tomorrows Parties”. The EP comes out February 26th.
