Here’s more evidence that France is giving birth to a bunch of amazingly damaged art-punk provocateurs! Le Chômage (translates as The Unemployment) are a super group of sorts from various bands off the La Grande Triple Alliance Internationale De L’est music collective. This is the sound of youthful anxiety and brash defiance with very little here to create a comfortable listening experience! The track below, “Hemorgie”, off the band’s self-titled debut, is a caustic, fuzzed-out jam filled with seriously heavy drumming and unhinged guitars. Vocally, it’s both brutal and snotty as the lyrics are more angry chants than actual singing. Check out the album on Bandcamp:
