The Less Artist More Condo Series returns today with their sixth split 7″, this one featuring Cass McCombs and White Magic. For the A-side, “If You Loved Me Before…”, the itinerant troubadour Mr. McCombs turns in a naked, unassuming performance that fearlessly walks the edge, while guitar and organ strip the blues back to the bone. White Magic also takes a minimal approach on “Out Beyond the Moon”, with Mira Billotte using her haunting, lilting voice to cast lunar spells over a slowly evolving piano line. The LAMC split 7″ project is named after the late Ariel Panero‘s off-beat NYC concert series, and 100% of the digital sales go, via the VH1 Save the Music Fund, to Panero’s non-profit organization dedicated to restoring music education in America’s public schools. Good music + good cause= reason to buy music!
