New Music: Glenn Jackson’s ‘Morning Swim’ EP Out Today

921

Oakland producer Glenn Jackson released his Morning Swim EP on Ceremony Recordings today, three tracks of sun-kissed , home-produced House full of relaxed, left coast vibes! “Morning Swim”, the album’s opener, heads straight for the sun and surf on laid back conga rhythms while warm synth melodies ebb and flow organically with the tides and sun shine. The tracks that follow, “Saved” and “You Too”, only add to the EP’s beached-out bliss and Jackson’s California brand of House. Fans of the sound will want to take note that Glenn Jackson is also one half of the stoner/synth-pop outfit James & Evander, part of local projects Benefits and Hoodcats, recent co-founder of the label West in Dust, as well as the man behind the often Oakland-themed music blog Mapzzz. Let’s give Morning Swim a listen!
