Swedish producer Hannes Norrvide’s Lust For Youth project will follow up his 2012 Sacred Bones release, Growing Seeds, with a new 12″ on February 19th, Chasing the Light. Norrvide melds arpeggiating, dark synth-pop melodies to cold industrial rhythms in a sound that conjures up that fertile period of the late 70’s and early 80’s when punks and artists alike were finding their way through the creative possibilities presented by electronic music. On “Chasing the Light” Norrvide is joined by comrade-in-arms and label-mate Loke Rahbek of Vĺr, who provides his strident, almost spoken strain of starry-eyed vocals. The new 12″ also contains a remix of “Chasing the Light” by Four Tet collaborator Anthony Naples, as well as a “club edit” of the track “Can You Come Close (Saluting Rome)”, featuring additional drum work by Vĺr’s Kristian Emdal.
