Fans of oddball music should take note of LA’s new addition to the lineage…Producer/multi-intrumentalist/songwriter Frank Maston flashes back to the 60’s crafting lysergic layers of sun damaged pop on his new 12″, Shadows, out now on Trouble In Mind Records. Recorded solely on analog gear, the record is bright and warm as a California day, and on a track like “Young Hearts” the soda poppers get blissfully stoned on toy shop organs and horns while creeping about in the meadows.
