Lusine released his new LP The Waiting Room via Ghostly International today. The electronic music project of Seattle producer Jeff McIlwain, the new record finds him building warm melodies that throb and pulse with organic life, while at the same time crafting the kind of stylish, minimal techno beats that have come to distinguish his work.
The Waiting Room also sees Lusine receiving vocal help from his sister Sarah McIlwain, and while on a track like “Get the Message” the result is a bit too pop oriented, it is balanced on the record by a producer and musician who deftly mixes the light and dark in intriguing and satisfying ways!
