New Music Video: Scanners “Control”

UK’s Scanners will release their three song EP Mexico on Dim Mak March 5th, and in anticipation of the forthcoming work we have a new video for the track “Control“. The band began in 2005 when Matthew Mole (vocals, guitar, synthesizer) and Sarah Daly (vocals, bass guitar, violin) began writing songs in their Camden Town practice space, and after playing some gigs backed by a drum machine the duo added Amina Bates (guitar, keyboards, background vocals) and Tom Hutt (drums). Scanners caught the ear of Dim Mak’s Steve Aoki, and the label would go on to release the band’s first LP, Violence Is Golden, a home produced album recorded in practice spaces and apartments around London. The band has since released 2010’s Submarine LP, recorded with producer Stephen Hague (New Order, Blur, Erasure), and songs from that album have appeared on TV shows and movies like Entourage, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Endgame and Mama’s Boy. Scanners will release their third LP for Dim Mak later this year, Love Is Symmetry, a record the band will produce themselves. Till then we have the March 5th EP Mexico, and this video for it’s up-coming track, “Control”. Shot in the London Underground, the video features frenetic footage of vocalist Sarah Daly singing in the Tubes and while driving the streets of London. Scanners will play SXSW, and we are told more dates are coming. What is available is listed below.
