For twenty-five years Brooklyn’s Solid Steel Radio has represented the most creative and forward thinking aspects of DJ mixing, and this year to celebrate they have commissioned “exclusive mixes from iconic artists and DJs” like Four Tet, Skream, Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle), Future Sound of London, Juan Atkins, as well as many more! This week Solid Steel brings you two hours of mixes from OM Unit and DJ Scientist. OM Unit, also know by his alter-ego Phillip K. Dick, and in collaboration with new Ninja Tune signee Machinedrum as the duo Dream Continuum, brings the first hour of beat forward mixes that include artists Danny Scrilla, Phaeleh, Alego, Sam Binga, and more. For hour two, Berlin record collector and Equinox label owner DJ Scientist digs deep into his international collection for a mix of tracks from the former Soviet Union, including music from Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldavia, Russia and more!
