Jim Donadio’s Prostitutes project has released it’s second LP Crushed Interior, out now on Digitalis Recordings, and while the label’s copies on vinyl have sold out, digital copies are always available through Bandcamp. Donadio’s work is characterized by his fascinating ability to remove large portions of human sentiment from his musical equation while still creating the kind of sonic experience that strikes a deep primal cord. Crushed Interior‘s eight formidably essentialised techno tracks find Donadio refining his minimal methodology for maximal results by patiently manipulating minute oscillations of beat and tone across their bleak event horizons! While the machines left on repeat and haunted industrial tones suggest an ominous element to our technological obsessions, Donadio’s ability to remove his ego for a zoned out machine/mind meld might suggest a path of release will still be available in our cyborg futures!
