Animal Collective will release a 12″ remix EP called Monkey Been to Burn Town on May 26/27th via Domino Records. Look for it to come out on vinyl, as well as digitally, and pre-orders will receive Brian DeGraw‘s remix of “Monkey Riches“. Also on the EP, Chicago Juke producer Traxman and New York underground dance producers Teengirl Fantasy rework the song, as well as the Seattle hip-hop collective Shabazz Palaces‘ take on “New Town Burnout“. For his version, DeGraw turns “Monkey Riches” inside out, while clearing some space so that the track can unfold at a more relaxed pace than the original’s hyper-speed funk. Animal Collective is in Barcelona tonight playing at Primavera Sound, before criss-crossing the globe for spring and summer dates in Europe and the States. Check them out below!
