Fans of dark wave will definitely want to check out Montreal’s Police Des Moeurs take on it. The four piece will release their Les mécanismes de la culpabilité 12″ in a limited run of 250 pure white vinyl copies May 20th, via the French label Atelier Ciseaux. The EP opens with this gorgeous jewel, “Échéance“, with it’s analog synth sound and monastic vocals creating a cold wave nostalgia, but balanced by muscular, techno-infused bass and drum lines that bring a very extroverted vibe to what might otherwise retreat into a haze of beautiful sorrow and langourus recrimination.
