UK producer Zomby will return this year with a new release due out June 17/18th on 4AD. Following up on last year’s rave nostalgic Where Were You In ’92, With Love will be a 33-track triple LP/double CD release that finds the artist moving thru electronic genres with elegant ease. Billed as a “love letter to the soulful dance music of his past”, the album will include this track “Soliloquy“, which chooses a more oblique strategy by using a dub-step rhythm and introspective melodies to cast an after hour’s mood across the cut. “Soliloquy” creeps in on a menacing lullaby before unleashing an array of high precision beats that dial around at hyper speeds within the off-kilter, two-step framework, while a vocal pattern of child-like “oh”‘s and “ah”‘s bounce around with dreamy wonder.
