Japanese space gods Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso UFO are currently touring the States, and after their recent stop at the Austin Psych Fest this past weekend, they are currently on target to lay waste to the midwest! I’m lookin’ at you Fargo! The band also has a new 6-song LP, In Search of the Lost Divine Ark, coming out soon on Important Records, however we don’t seem to have a release date yet. The record will open with this cut, “Space Speed Suicide“, and it finds Tabata Mitsuru laying down a muscular, hard rock guitar groove only to be obliterated a few measures later by Kawabata‘s death ray of psychedelic guitar carnage. The resulting war between these two titans launches massive, billowing walls of fried-out space shards into the farthest reaches of the expanding (and melting) cosmos.
