Oakland’s super-fine garage rock throwbacks Shannon and the Clams have a new LP, Dreams in the Rat House, due out on May 21st via Hardly Art! Positively swoon-worthy is this delicious little number, “Into A Dream“, with it’s vintage sonics making it sound like it could be some dusty and forgotten 45 from another time. Punked-up country meets a psychedelic honky-tonk, as singer Shannon Shaw‘s voice leaps right off of the track only to land on a bed of dreamy harmonies provided by bandmates Cody Blanchard, and Ian Amberson! Shannon and the Clams leave for an early summer tour at the end of this month, so don’t miss the dates below.
