New Video: Indian Handcrafts “Bruce Lee”

586

Canada’s mighty power-duo Indian Handcrafts recorded their debut LP Civil Disobedience For Losers (Sargent House) down in LA with engineer Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Big Business), and Melvins’ drummers Dale Crover and Coady Willis make guest appearances on the some tracks, so you know that shit’s gonna be heavy! Today the killer track “Bruce Lee” gets an awesome video send-up, directed by Michael McMaster. Seemingly both a tribute to the master himself, as well as a parody of those Saturday afternoon kung-fu films of the 70’s, this one features a dingy looking dojo, nunchucks, a guy in a white polyester bodysuit, choreographed fight sequences, and the requisite amount of blood. And then there’s that great place in the track and video where the duo’s monstrous heaviness seems to melt the tape, only to be replaced musically by a canned interlude, and answered visually by a film burn and “Damaged Reel” title-card…complete with that great 70’s font. It’s those little touches that count! The duo will play the Scion Rock Fest in June, as well as Montreal’s Metal Fest later in the summer, so don’t miss the dates below.

INDIAN HANDCRAFTS live:
