Sic Alps are back with a new 12″ on Drag City, the She’s On Top EP, as well as a video for the title track! Fresh from the road, Mike Donovan and crew recorded the album this past December with Chris Woodhouse at The Hanger in Sacramento. “She’s On Top” buzzes and hums with warm, analogue ambience, and it finds the band in prime form, perfecting their idiosyncratic brand of vintage psych-pop with killer, Crazy Horse-style guitar interplay, and Donovan’s stream of consciousness musings on the state of male/female relationships in the 21st century. A hint…she’s on top and Donovan could use a day of rest. The video is directed by William Francis-Bashore Keihn, and it matches Sic Alps’ slacker aesthetic with fuzzed out visuals, pretty girls, and Donovan’s pratfalls. Sic Alps tour Europe later in June, so don’t miss the dates below.
