Low‘s probably one of the few bands that could sing a line like, “Now they make you piss into a plastic cup/give it up”, and with Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parkermake‘s lovely harmonies, have it still sound pretty. The band turned twenty years old this year, which means in human years they’re just now approaching drinking age. However, in rock-n-roll years, twenty starts to get you elder statesmen status! Low’s March release The Invisible Way (Sub Pop) was the band’s tenth studio album, recorded with producer Jeff Tweedy and engineer Tom Schick at The Loft in Chicago. Today, we have the new video for “Plastic Cup“, directed by Ryley Fogg, which, in my estimation, finds the band inside a snow globe, in the hands of some creepy looking bunny-men. Good luck with that one! Low will spend the summer and fall touring the States and Europe, so don’t miss the dates below.
