New Video: Peals “Blue Elvis”

656

Last month we took a look at the swirling delights of Peals‘ video for “Belle Aire“, directed by Zoe Friedman. The Baltimore duo of William Cashion (Future Islands) and Bruce Willen (Double Dagger) also released their debut LP Walking Field on Thrill Jockey this past May, and now we have their video for the track “Blue Elvis“. George Trimm directs, here, using excerpts from the surf film Bootleg, which he did with Joel Tudor. “Blue Elvis” features the surfers Harrison Roach and Yuta Sezutsu, and the relaxed ease and precise control with which they ride the waves is the perfect visual analogue for Peals’ languid, organically unfolding track. The band is currently on tour, so don’t miss the dates below.
