Don’t miss this golden nugget from the Seattle quartet La Luz…The ladies have a new 7″ out now on Suicide Squeeze, and the first 500 copies have been pressed to translucent gold vinyl! La Luz conjure up sixties-style psychedelia with guitar and organ driven tracks, and groovy four-part harmonies, but the vibe here isn’t necessarily all sunshine and day-glo, as the band also has a penchant for down-tuned, slightly spooky melodies! The video for “Brainwash” is directed by Carlos F. Lopez, and it continues in a sixties vein depicting Cold War-era thought experiments as La Luz seemingly perform on some old, lost television show. Glass of Milk-Ultra, anyone? Oh yeah, La Luz is currently wrapping up their summer tour playing in Denver tonight at Moes, and later this week at Seattle’s Capitol Hill Block Party, so don’t miss the dates below!
