Here’s a project you’ll want to keep your eyes on…LA artist Carol Rhyu makes music under the name White Blush, and while her self-titled debut is more on the electro-pop side of things, this track “Neptune” has a decidedly shoe gaze feel to it. Written with Art Torres, the dreamy cut really takes off when a bouncing, post-punk bass-line cuts thru the astral scree to carve a space for Rhyu’s gorgeous, ice blue vocals. In addition to her musical work, Rhyu studied film at The American Film Institute Conservatory, and her video for her track “Juice of My Heart“, off the debut, is definitely not to be missed if you’re a fan of Battle Royale-style gore, and waitresses getting the revenge they deserve!
