Today we have photos from Sonny Vincent’s recent tour stop at The Earl in Atlanta, Ga. Vincent, best known for fronting the 70’s NYC proto-punk band The Testors, has had a long and fruitful career in music. Aside from being a seminal part of the NYC punk scene, Vincent has played with some of the biggest names in underground rock, including the likes of Scott Asheton (The Stooges), Moe Tucker (VU), Cheetah Chrome (Dead Boys) and Captain Sensible (The Damned), to name a few. In other words, this man is a veritable walking/talking archive of the last 40 years of underground music history. And yet, despite all that, Vincent has no intrest in sticking to the past. Rather, he’s cranking out new material and touring the globe backed by a crew of young rabble rousers that seem to match his forever youthful spirit. On this tour, Vincent was joined by Matt Gabs (Biters), TV’s Daniel (Bad Sports, Wax Museums), and his former Bad Reactions band-mate Luis Herrera (Sorrows). After the photos, have a listen to the 2012 7″, Sonny Vincent and the Bad Reactions, from Trend is Dead Records. Also, we have a list of Vincent’s upcoming tour dates below…
