Dahga Bloom delivers a heady, heavy brew of psychotronics on “Space Is the Place“. The Fulerton, CA five piece unleashes a swirling din on the track, augmented by Zach Nelson‘s whirling dervish violin lines, Lucas Drake‘s mantric vocal repetitions, and a pummeling low end that, in watching the video, looks like it is being delivered by two bass players. Described as a “frankenstein roundup up of the best of the live Dahga Bloom performance footage”, the video for this track was filmed by Bokeh Monster between 2011 and 2013, and it includes never before seen footage from performances at The Smell, LA Psych Fest, Psychotropic Summer, Desert Daze 2013, and more! Looks like the band has several upcoming releases to look forward to, including the LP No Curtains due out in November on Captcha Records, and a cassete-only release of Dahga Bloom’s “legendary debut album” September 3rd on Lolipop Records.
