No Age‘s fourth studio album An Object came out this month on Sub Pop, and this week drummer/vocalist Dean Spunt and guitarist Randy Randall also delivered their new video for the track “An Impression“. Continuing to stress a hands-on and collaborative approach to their art making, Spunt and Randall collaborated with Brian Roettinger to design and manufacture the packaging for this new album, while also participating in it’s assembly. From the audio end, No Age also has has a hand in the recording and production process, working with their friend and longtime collaborator Facundo Bermudez at Gaucho’s Electronics in Los Angeles. The video for “An Impression” was created by the band, and using ephemeral, graphically treated imagery they present an opaque, and sometimes difficult to discern experience that offers an apt visual corollary to the track’s thematic concerns. No Age kicks off a massive Fall tour tonight in Kansas City, so check out the rest of the dates below.
