While it’s true that Psychic Ills have returned to earth from outer space on their 2013 LP One Track Mind (Sacred Bones), it looks like they might have brought a visitor back with them! “See You There” is a fine example of the band’s newer, more terrestrial leanings with it’s smoked-out, psychedelic drones and sun-baked ambience acquiring more backroads Blues-tones than I remember from the past.
No doubt the vibe here is still dosed, however the trip feels more focused–and that can be a good thing when you’re dealing with a heady proposition like Psychic Ills. The video is directed by Tres Warren, and it features the misadventures of a hungry, record stealing space alien.
