Here’s what’s new from Seattle’s heaviest and hardest label, Good To Die Records…Sandrider will reveal the Godhead, their second studio LP, on November 19th via the label, and word is, sometime next week we will preview the monster track “Gorgon“! The band returned to record their new LP with Matt Bayles at Seattle’s Red Room studios, and as Jon Weisnewski informed Performer Magazine, “We just told Matt we wanted huge balls and he kinda took it from there.”
This week GTD also reports that pre-orders for Monogamy Party‘s False Dancers‘ LP are now available from the GTD webstore, with the album shipping September 13th, and arriving before, or on the release date of September 17th. This unholy slab of dis-ease is being put out on classic black vinyl, as well as limited edition silver, and with digital download included, will only set up back $12! Recorded by Austin Thomason at Mt. Plyushkin, and mastered by Levi Seitz at Blackbelt Mastering, False Dancers does an excellent job capturing the tightly wound menace this band generates in their live performances, while delivering the kind of car crash listen you just can’t pull yourself away from!
If you live in the Northwest and still haven’t made it out to see a GTD band live yet, then it’s time to get out from under whatever rock you been living under, and catch what all the noise is about. See you there!
