La Luz is currently readying their debut LP It’s Alive for release via Hardly Art. This will be the follow-up to their Damp Face EP (Burger/Hardly Art), the ladies’ killer cassette/digital release from earlier this summer. Today we have another listen in on what La Luz has got cookin’ for the upcoming record with this new song “Pink Slime.”
At the heart of this high energy track bassist Abbey Blackwell and drummer Marian Li Pino lay down a seriously punked-out groove. Meanwhile, guitarist Shana Cleveland carves thru the chop with aplomb riding jangly surf licks as the girls add sublime layers of call-and-response vocal harmony!
