Oneohtrix Point Never teams up with the artist Jacob Ciocci (Paper Rad/ Extreme Animals) for an interactive media experience of the track “Zebra” over at pointnever.com. Ciocci, a recent recipient of the Rhizome/Tumblr Internet Art Grant for his Extreme Animals collaboration project, here floats various .gifs, collage videos, and a Soundcloud player of the new track “Zebra” over OPN’s album art for his upcoming LP R Plus Seven due out September 30th/October 1st on Warp Records.
On “Zebra,” Daniel Lopatin ricochets various spliced synth tones off one another before expanding upwards thru various levels of strange air only to find remnants of his skittering “melody” cavorting with some lite jazz & strings in the ethers. This fall Oneohtrix Point Never will play select shows around the world, so here are the dates…
