You can always count on Deerhunter‘s Bradford Cox for a dose of the subversive humor, and today’s video offering for “Back to the Middle” is no exception. Shot in London by the photographer/director Olivier Groulx, and featuring the actor Durassie Kiangangu, “Back to the Middle” blurs gender lines in a way that might have you questioning your “normal” perceptions in this “mixed up, muddled up, shook up world”! You’ll find this junky and sweet garage number on Deerhunter’s 2013 LP Monomania, out now on 4AD. You can also look for the album on tape, as it was released in limited quantity for the first ever international Cassette Store Day, on September 7th!
