What better way to ease on into the weekend than with a new video offering from Purling Hiss for “Mary Bumble Bee“, off their March 2013 LP Water on Mars, out now on Drag City! Created by the band’s Mike Polizze, the video is a kaleidoscopic collection of summery and sunny images seemingly culled from recent tour travels, and it’s a great visual accompaniment to this vintage, indie-pop gem. Proving he can clean up quite nicely since the bong-water blasts of 2011’s Lounge Lizards, or Walking Down the Street, his 12″ split with Puffy Areolas, on “Mary Bumble Bee”, Polizze and friends prove to be amiable front porch companions, conjuring up the Golden Days Of College Radio!
