Today Savages released their new video for the track “Husbands” off their Mercury Prize-nominated debut LP Silence Yourself out now on Matador Records. Directed by the UK media artist John Minton, this stunning black and white video progresses from a rudimentary symbol system into bifurcating microbial life. On into the insect world, the director finally unleashes frantic, ghostly images of the band performing.
Word is, Minton and Savages will also hook up this weekend as part of the train traveling art installation Station to Station, arriving at Oakland/SF’s 16Th Street Station on Saturday September 28th for a performance that will include musicians like Dan Deacon, Sun Araw, No Age and others. Looks like this one is sold out, so hope you’re lucky enough to have tickets. Otherwise, Savages are on extended US and European tour, so click here for dates.
