The Fullerton, CA five piece Dahga Bloom first came onto our radar with a very cool live video for “Space Is The Place“. Since then, the band has been on a mission to release a music video for each of the tracks on their upcoming 2013 LP for Captcha Records, No Curtains, so it looks like Dahga Bloom choose to revisit “Space Is The Place”, to give it some new visuals more in keeping with the aesthetic style of the rest of the cuts. No direction or production credits have been given for these videos, so I can only assume someone in the band, or close to it, is workin’ the ocular magick! Someone here, though, is in possession of an awesome batch of found footage, and while videos like “Zuu Zuu” and “Born To Be Brown” mostly re-edited such film, with an overdose of psychotronic visual effects slathered on for good measure, the new version of “Space Is The Place” expands upon these video’s inherent graphic qualities to create some very cool “hand” animated, flip book-like sequences, depicting an epic space battle conducted on the mental plane!
