Mike Donovan has moved on from his Sic Alps project, but the restless and prolific songwriter is right back to work with his new solo effort, Wot, out this week on Drag City. Today, Donovan released this new video for his track “Do Do Ya?”, featuring the triumvirate of directors: Viktor Rosengrün, Janosch Pugnaghi & Jan Lankisch. Donovan has always impressed with his ability to make the most out of only a little, and his three directors follow suit here, filming the singer in front of a series of seemingly random, homemade projections that look like they were shot while on the road somewhere in Europe. Donovan, maybe a few too many espressos deep, hams it up with his guitar and a sax, and all-in-all these goofy, off-handed images are the perfect visual accompaniment for Donovan’s effortless and frowzy rock!
