This week the LA-based electronic duo Soft Metals teamed up with the performance/visual artist Erica Schreiner on this new video for their track “On a Cloud“. Schreiner often films herself in intimate and surreal rituals, like her recent SHOWstudio contribution Fractured 1/7, where she conducts various, strange encounters between a dead fish and a lightbulb. For “On a Cloud”, Schreiner uses a mythological sort of dream-logic, performing an almost manic series of lipstick tracings, some languid looking milk baths, as well as odd co-minglings between an iconic apple and mysteriously produced key.
