Johnny Jewel & Nat Walker return as the duo Symmetry, and, today, the Italians Do It Better label-mates have some new, awesomely collaged visuals from Alberto Rossini for their track “The Hunt“. Much of Rossini’s past music video work for the label has been shot on 16mm film, but here he uses a hypnotic stream of vintage advertising images that seem straight out of the pages of old Playboy magazines. Employing a collection of collaged stills, Rossini’s seductive compendium of 1980’s visuals presents that decade’s obsession with the most rarified aspects of commercial culture, and the rapid fire and seemingly unending string of status objects are sure to subliminally beguile you’re most deeply held and easily manipulated desires!
