Seattle’s Dreamsalon will release their 13 Nights LP on November 12th via the Chicago label Captcha Records, and, today, we take a little taste of how things are cooking up with a preview of the track “Get To Work“…Drawing together three prominent members of Seattle’s underground music scene, Dreamsalon finds Craig Chambers on guitar/vocals, Min Yee on bass, and Matthew Ford on drums/vocals, which means fans of bands like A Frames, The Intelligence, Factums, The Lights, Love Tan, etc. should find much to love in this line-up! On “Get To Work”, Dreamsalon uses an economy of means, and a surplus of personality, to hot-rod around in this bare-bones, garage number. It sounds like Ford’s drum set-up, here, might be a found object and a cymbal, roughly stitched together by Yee’s uptempo bass-line, and Chambers’ guitar plays it fast and loose with a high-octane surf line, while he and Ford trade vocal back-and-forths about getting to work on time, and other proletariate concerns!
