Magik Markers will release their upcoming LP Surrender to the Fantasy on November 19th via Drag City, and today they posted this new video for their track “Bonfire“. Proving you can take the band out of the basement, but you can’t take the basement outta the band, Magik Markers bring a rough and tumble approach to “Bonfire”, letting rip a raucous, industrial stew of high octane drum noise and guitar scrapings, punctuated by Elisa Ambrogio and Leah Quimby‘s back-and-forth banshee spaz-outs! Visually, here, the band celebrates the ancient human urge to drink with mates around the fire, and smash a beer can or two on one’s forehead. Good thing that never goes out of style! This month Magik Markers leaves for a tour of Europe, as well as playing a single live show in New York come December, so don’t miss all the dates below.
