Magik Markers return on November 19th with their Surrender to the Fantasy LP, due out via Drag City, and this week we have a new video for their track “MIrrorless“. Directed by the band’s Elisa Ambrogio, the video features all kinds of awesome hand-drawn and cut-out ephemera, collaged and presented via stop motion animation for some do-it-yourself visuals that really match perfectly with this tracks smokey sweet ambience. Ambrogio uses dusty photos of the band, tarot cards, dice, and small drawings, animating them to the pulse of this hazy, late night burner, while throughout her child-like sense of creative play abounds! And really, that’s the well from which Magik Markers music and aesthetic spirit has always sprung, from right in the middle of that messy play-hole!!
