The “infamous” Rott Childs are rumored to be “4 nephews hailing from a notorious European family bloodline”, and, as the story goes, the boys have found themselves forever “shunned and shut off from the family fortune”, after too many magic tricks have gone wrong at the annual family dinner. Now, these four marginalized reprobates live hand-to-mouth, and it seems they get their kicks wrecking earholes with their theatrically thrashed-up brand of hyper-speed hardcore! The Rott Childs newest LP, Alleluia: A Brit Milah In G Melodic Minor, is out now on the band’s label House Rott Child, and the gent’s describe their sound as, “an explosive cocktail between bands like Hella, The Blood Brothers, Captain Beefheart, The Dillinger Escape Plan & Mars Volta“. Honestly, though, all they had to do was tell us they shared a member with Belgium’s Kabul Golf Club, and we were sold! For “Pretty Diamond“, The Rott Childs dole out some eye punishing and highly creative visuals.
