Today we check out some new David Lynch remixes from Hot Since 82 and Yttling Jazz for the tracks “Wishin’ Well” and “We Rolled Together“, off Lynch’s 2013 LP The Big Dream which is out now on Sacred Bones. Lynch will release The Big Dream Digital Deluxe Double Album on December 16th, as well as a limited edition The Big Dream Super Deluxe Boxset on January 27th, both via Sunday Best/Sacred Bones. As far as new material is concerned, remixes seem to be at the heart of the upcoming offerings, with additional re-workings from Venetian Snares and Bastille to be included. Here, up-and-coming producer Hot Since 82 takes the mysterious, electronic blues-stomp of “Wishin’ Well”, and reconfigures it into a bass heavy House number that only bears haunted traces of the original; and on “We Rolled Together”, Yttling Jazz, which is Bjorn Yttling, one-third of Peter Bjorn and John, adds a chorus of vocals, structural re-workings, and brightened production to lift up Lynch’s noir, backwoods number.
