This week Knoxville, TN DJ, producer, promoter, and Proper Trax label owner Will Azada returns with a new 12″ for Atlanta’s CGI Records, and today we preview the lead track “Cliché“. CGI reports that they explored “over 6 hours of unreleased original material” from Azada’s prolific and “ever expanding production catalog”, unearthing the afore mentioned track, as well as “Michalski’s Theme” and “The Whip“, for this tight and tasty new limited edition release due out Thursday, December 19th. On “Cliché”, Azada progressively manipulates the hard driving rhythms of a nocturnal, “cord-driven” techno, but unlike the track’s title, which also forms a clipped vocal refrain for the cut, Azada’s passionate engagement with the genre makes for a fresh, kinetic listen! According to CGI, vinyl copies are limited to 500, and will be available in shops internationally on January 6th, 2014.
