New Track: Solvent “Clustering”

1688

We’ve watched several clips now from I Dream Of Wires, Robert Fantinatto and Jason Amm‘s documentary about the “history, demise, and resurgence” of the modular synthesizer, and today we have news of a companion audio piece to Solvent‘s soundtrack for the film! C For Comfort will be a cassette release, due out February 11th on the artist’s imprint Suction Records, and it is being described as an “addendum” to the soundtrack proper, New Ways: Music from the Documentary I Dream Of Wires. Like New Ways…, C For Comfort is, of course, an all modular synth affair, providing further sonics from this massive four hour documentary, as well as additional evidence of the depth to which Solvent’s Jason Amm immersed himself in his exploration of this expansive instrument. Today we preview the track “Clustering” off C For Comfort, and it’s analogue sonics ooze, throb, and squelch with textures so thick and rich it’s like the ears can touch ’em! Stay tuned for news about a theatrical release of I Dream of Wires, which should happen sometime this Spring.
