Today we have the new video from patten for his track “Drift” off the UK producer’s upcoming Warp Records‘ release ESTOILE NAIANT due out February 25th. Directed by patten’s visual collaborator Jane Eastlight, the artist who has also designed his album covers as well as patten apparel, here she uses generous helpings of negative space as she returns again and again to an oscillating shadow of globed light interspersed with rapid clips of stunning cinematic imagery. The constantly fluxuating visuals are a perfect backdrop for “Drift”‘s amorphous, shifting beat structures. Without anywhere to put your feet down, truly, all you can do is lie back and drift!
While patten has mostly kept his identity unknown, the artist will make his first ever visit to the States this week for two shows in NYC. Check out the dates below.
