Pixies kick off the year with a new 4-song EP and video for their track “Blue Eyed Hexe“! Directed by Matthew Newman (aka Mount Emult), the video showcases this artist’s killer animation style as he collages a host of varying media using a playful graphic sense and wicked humor. Images of sex and death abound, as Newman culls together a seductive and occult blend of old advertising, clip art, pin-ups, hand-drawn animations, etc. for this wild dose of the “Blue Eyed Hexe”. While you’re at it, I suggest a visit to the Mount Emult Tumblr site to catch more from this experimental filmmaker and animator who has lent his skills to wide array of underground bands, while developing his own unique and exciting style!
