Recondite‘s 2013 debut release Hinterland (Ghostly International) found the German techno producer delving into his homeland of Lower Bavaria for inspiration. Discussing his nuanced meditations on the region’s rural environments, he explains:
“I tried to capture the area’s mentality and natural environment within the album. Particularly the moods that behold the emotions of the four seasons, which differ a lot in this region.”
This week filmmaker Heiko Knauer returned to deliver another excellent video for the album track “Floe.” The cut features pulsing and rushing soundscapes gently cut thru with field recordings from the area, and Knauer’s gorgeously shot landscapes are the perfect visual backdrop for this work!
