New Video: Thug Entrancer “Death After Life I”

The multi-media artist Milton Melvin Croissant III has turned in an excellent new video for Thug Entrancer‘s track “Death After Life I“! Croissant’s highly digitized 3-D imagery forms an excellent interactive agent here, as he creates staggering and rarified worlds that seem empty of human sentiment, but permanently haunted by the spectral ghosts of our machines. The video opens on a bright blue and sandy world before skyscrapers, cop cars, and old freight ships begin to sprout like strange weeds, piling and littering the landscape, as we follow the camera into the scene. As we pass between the buildings, a floating and grinning skull appears, gleaming and obdurate; and we can’t help watching, mesmerized, as it tosses it’s foam rubber dreads in the oddly behaving air, before our view enters thru it’s leering mouth into vast, neon lit interiors. While no human life can be found in Croissant’s vision of “Death After Life I”, bizarre evidence of our modern existence lies about under plastic, flickering on dying screens, or still working aimlessly thru the night carving tattoos on robot arms! Thug Entrancer’s Death After Life LP comes out February 11th on Software Recording Co.
